Volunteers Help Care for St Andrew’s Churchyard

There was a wonderful display of community spirit recently as a team of volunteers came together to help clear and tidy the churchyard at St Andrew’s.

Armed with tools, trailers and plenty of enthusiasm, volunteers spent the day cutting back overgrown areas, removing green waste and helping to ensure that the churchyard remains a peaceful and welcoming place for everyone who visits. Their hard work has made a real difference, revealing pathways and helping to preserve this special setting for future generations.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time and energy. Whether wielding a rake, loading trailers or simply lending a hand where needed, each contribution played an important part. Caring for a historic church and its surroundings is very much a shared endeavour, and days like this demonstrate the strength and generosity of our local community.

The churchyard is not only a place of remembrance, but also an important part of the heritage and character of St Andrew’s. Maintaining it is an ongoing task, and the support of volunteers makes a tremendous difference.

Thank You

A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who took part, and to those who provided equipment and practical support. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and have helped ensure that St Andrew’s remains a place that can be enjoyed and cherished by all.
